Chame is the district headquarters of Manang. It features hot springs, clear views of Annapurna II, and a visible shift toward Tibetan Buddhist culture. Stop here overnight to rest and acclimate. Stock up on cash and forgotten medical supplies, as this is the last major town before the high altitude.
1 dayUpper trail aids acclimatization
You face a choice between a lower, easier trail and a steep upper trail linking traditional stone villages. The upper trail requires more physical effort but significantly improves your altitude acclimatization. It also provides clear views of the Annapurna range across the valley.
